About the Role:

BoxLock is seeking a key team member in our Hardware Production Manager position that can help lead our manufacturing and sourcing processes with our US-based Contract Manufacturer and global sourcing partners. This role will lead our sourcing strategy and play a key role in our delivery of current BoxLock hardware models, as well as innovation and iteration of new hardware. This position reports directly to the CEO and has high potential for growth within our product team.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Lead a cutting—edge hardware manufacturing process for a rapid-growth IoT device

  • Run point with our CM to hone and refine the manufacturing process for new hardware

  • Manage and track defects and returns to streamline quality

  • Work with our team to develop standardized component sourcing and plan for lead time and alternative component ideas

  • Work with BoxLock’s account teams to plan inventory needs 6-18mo in advance

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing

  • Understanding of hardware component supply chains, lead times, and sourcing idiosyncrasies

  • Detailed understanding of hardware certification processes (CE, UL, FCC, etc)
